I have been using Black Hat for three years and it's been an on going fight since day one. Trying to keep this thing going and working like it should has been a nightmare. Camera's taking the same picture in several frames with nothing to look at, the door bell camera not working along with the door bell, not much help from staff when I called in for help and now that my contract has been over since April it's another battle to get them to cancel the contract. I also recommended them to a neighbor and they ended up taking these people to court to get the hell away from them. do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

Been a loyal JJ&R listener since they were in Tucson. I always hear the ads and stellar reviews about this company. So I thought I would get them a try. Well 3 days later voicemail box is still full so I cant leave a message. 5 calls later still cant get through. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Disappointed in the service. Camera records random events, fills up and doesn't record when needed. Replaced 2 x. Doorbell finally working after 2 years not working until replacement to Ring. Internet was blamed for 2 years. Same internet, works with Ring. Service hours are inconvenient and the 3-6 year contract binds you into service you don't recieve. We are stuck paying $45 a month and just get excuses. Don't recommend. Beware of the contract.

Everything started out well, but it wasn’t long before I began to regret my purchase, the equipment is mediocre at best, works when it wants and it takes forever to have someone come out to do anything about it. Also if you have issues with the system outside of regular business hours, you’ll just have to wait to speak to someone until the next business day. It’s great! (Sarcasm) but at least, it’s a just 3 year contract.... great. Don’t waste your money with Black Hat Security.

I’ve been trying to get ahold of someone for the last three days!!!! I e heard nothing but great things but every time I call no one answers the phone and to make it better the mailbox is full. How can I truly trust you guys to watch my home and keep me “safe” if I can’t even talk to anyone?!

Every time I have had to call into Black Hat for help the office staff has been extremely rude. To have anyone come out to your place is a nightmare they are 3+ weeks booked out. I was not informed about the permit required for the City of Scottsdale and was hit with a fine.

We got an installation done by Jorge at black hat security. Not only was he prompt and on time, he was professional and very pleasant to speak with. He went above and beyond for things that he definitely didn’t need to ( ex. Checking to see if my front door handle was compatible with the system and setting it up for me ). All around a great experience. Can’t wait to use our new system.

I had this company at a 5 star recommendation. The service they provide is great and works as it should. The reason I am changing from a 5 star to a 1 star is 100% customer service. I am being forced to re-locate for work, and called Black Hat Security stating I will need to cancel my contract, which of course I understand is going to come with a cancelation fee. ($850) to be exact. You have to pay the $850 before they come and take all their equipment back, they will not accept payments. I don't know about everyone else, but $850 upfront on top of moving costs for me is a big hit. I have NO problem paying the cancelation fee, but the simple fact that they will not work with a family in need is plan dumb. I have used all of this company's other companies (auto glass, green mango, etc) You would think they would be a little more open to treating customers a little better. On top of the $850 fee, they also might or might not re-install the other things they take out of your house. For example I have the thermostat, door locks and garage door opener. So not only do I have to pay to cancel the server which I loved, I have to also pay someone to fix all the stuff they wont install back. This is just poor customer service all around.

Wow! Landon was a great installer, and identified weaknesses in our existing system. He fixed/upgraded everything, and already, I feel more secure knowing our house-and family- are protected!And getting a quote was so easy! Courtney worked with me over text, a lifesaver for this busy mom!

We have had an amazing experience with Black Hat Security. From the beginning, when we were unsure which company to utilize, to not being sure we wanted the extra expense of home security. My first contact with customer service was great. Absolutely not pushy, very knowledgeable, and quick responses. Today , Landon installed our Black Hat Security system. Again, an amazing experience. He was so patient with all our questions. He was knowledgeable. He was very nice. I am so happy we chose Black Hat Security to protect our home.

Cannot say enough great things about this company, the customer service from the beginning, the installation process with Zach and the product. Would recommend every time.From my first inquiry, I received a call within 20 minutes. I cannot say how much I appreciated this. It was on my mind and it was something i wanted to handle immediately. When they called so soon, it allowed me to handle it immediately.The awesome technician seriously made us SO happy with our decision. He explained everything, every step of the way. He was quick, thorough, friendly and professional. When he left, we knew we made the right decision with this system and this company.The system itself is user friendly, with phone apps and websites to service everything you could need.Black Hat Security has earned a lifelong customer.

Great set up process - incredibly thorough. We had been considering getting a new system for a while now, and you just couldn't beat their price! Free install, Free panel, Free "Skybell" door bell, all the sensors for $36 a month with a 3 year contract. Love the panel - it's cute and matches the light switches, you can use custom pictures that scroll through when the panel goes to sleep. The install process was quick and easy. Landon was an exceptional install professional - very polite and informative. We very much appreciate how helpful he was! I'm really glad we made the decision to use Black Hat - if you're considering making the decision to get home security, go with Black Hat!

My family switched from another company after many years and everything has been stream-less. Everyone from Courtney and Cameron have been friendly and amazing. Jorge our tech was very knowledgeable, friendly, and he walked us through everything ensuring all of our questions were answered. When installing the equipment he treated our home like his own which is very big with our family.

I was extremely satisfied with the start up process and professionalism displayed by everyone I have dealt with at Black Hat Security. Courtney was easy going and very helpful getting everything set up and scheduling my install. Landon arrived promptly for the install and explained the entire system, any questions I had, he was able to answer. I had been with a different security company for years and dealt with rude people all along the way. It was very difficult to get answers or help with the system and seemed like I was a bother. They didn't want to help a current customer to keep the business and that caused us to look else where. Every one at Black Hat has treated me with the utmost respect and has been very helpful. They are easy to get in contact with and respond to messages the same day. Their prices are amazing and the equipment is some of the best on the market, leaves no question that your house and loved ones will be safe and taken care of. I look forward to the service with Black Hat and highly recommend their service.

We just signed up with Black Hat and so far our experience has been amazing. We were referred by a friend and had a ton of questions. Cameron spent a long time on the phone explaining everything. Landon showed up to install our system and was patient with our new questions and was very accommodating when we made a few changes. He was prepared and professional. Because of our changes, he stayed much later than expected and he didn't try to cut corners to get it done. He spent so much time explaining everything and walked us through the computer program which is super easy to navigate. He even interacted with my small children when they asked silly questions. If Landon's professionalism and customer service is any indication of what we will experience in the future... we are in very, very good hands. Sleeping super sound tonight knowing that our family is safe!!

The process was seamless from start to finish. Landon (the installer) was great! He was professional, funny, personable and knowledgeable. Courtney (at the main office) said to expect 4 hours for the install, but it only took 2 1/2 hrs. Landon explained everything to me in detail. I had absolutely no questions unanswered. We even set off the alarm to hear how loud it gets. Grant it, it's only been a few hours since installation, but I feel very confident that my family is safe and secure now with this alarm system.
